SAVV - Savv Hotel premises at 39C, Pengkalan Weld, 10350 George Town, Penang, Malaysia

Guests - All individuals check-in to SAVV

Registered Guest - Check-in Guest whose name and credit/debit card registered for payment.

Visitor - Person(s) entering into the premises of SAVV and who are not check-in guests

Guests agree to comply with and be bound by all terms and conditions, house rules, regulations, disclaimers, waivers of liability, and policies as prescribed by SAVV from time to time; all reasonable directions, orders, and instructions imposed by Hotel; and all applicable local laws and the regulations of Malaysia.

Rates - Rates quoted in Ringgit Malaysia, plus taxes where applicable. Rates may increase without notice.  Rates as advertised on SAVV's website or any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at SAVV's discretion. 

Guaranteed Reservations - Payment of a deposit or credit authorization is required to secure and confirm a reservation.

Cancellation policy - Cancellation policy unless otherwise stated at the time of reservation

At least 48 hr before check-in date – No charge

Cancellations and amendments made within 48 hrs of arrival – one (1) nights room charges per room, based on the first (1st) nights rates.

No Show on check-in date - Unless there is prior notice to SAVV of late arrival from the Guest, SAVV will hold all secured reservations until 11:00 am of the day following the check-in date. After which, SAVV will forfeit all payments made and re-let the room.

Special requests - SAVV will make every effort and do our best to accommodate all special requests noted on reservations, subject to availability upon the Guests' arrival.

Handicap Friendly Room - One guest room is available and should be reserved/requested in advance.

WiFi Access - Guests enjoy free WiFi access in SAVV. WiFi access code is subject to change without notice. SAVV assumes no liability for the Guest's use of WiFi access.

Use of Facilities – Use of SAVV's facilities, equipment, and services like the car park, swimming pool, and other related areas are entirely for and at the Guest's own risk. To the extent permitted by law, SAVV shall not be liable for any personal injury or loss, or damage to property caused to any person arising from or connected with their use of SAVV's facilities, equipment, and services. 

Check-In and Check-Out Requirements - SAVV is required by law to obtain proper proof of identity (e.g., passports or national identity cards) from all guests checking in. For security reasons and to prevent fraud, SAVV has the absolute discretion to refuse check-in, cancel or modify any reservations if the identity does not match the booking reference or if anyone refuses to provide the requisite proof of identity to SAVV. 

Check-in - Check-in - Any time from 3.00 pm on the scheduled day of arrival. SAVV has a right to release any unsecured reservations after 6 pm. For confirmed reservations, the cancellation policy will apply.

Check-out - Guests are required to Check-out by 12:00 Noon on the day of departure.

Early Check-in / Late Check-out - Request will be subject to availability and may incur additional charges at the discretion of SAVV. SAVV reserves the right to charge, without further notice, an additional one (1) night's room charge, where there has been no request for an extension for late check-out

Maximum Occupancy - The number of occupants in the rooms is subject to maximum occupancy rules set by SAVV. Additional occupancy and extra beds are subject to additional charges.

For safety, security, and housekeeping reasons, SAVV reserves the right to enter a guest room at least once a day, even if the "Do Not Disturb" sign is on.

Taxes and Fees (where applicable) - These charges are not included in the room rates and will be collected upon check-in.

Tourism Tax                 - MYR10 per room per night from foreign guests

Local Government Fee - MYR2 per room per night

Deposit - At check-in, a Registered Guest must provide valid credit/debit card information (card type, card number, expiry date, and the full name shown on the card) to be charged or cash of MYR200.00 as a deposit for miscellaneous or incidental charges. When miscellaneous or incidental charges exceeds the security deposit, SAVV will request further authorization to top-up the deposit, failing which SAVV reserves the right to restrict access to the room.

Room Amenities and Linens - Registered Guests will be charged for missing, damaged, or spoilt room amenities and linens at the prices stated in the amenities price list. Severely stained room linens will incur specialist cleaning charges of RM100.

No Smoking, No Durian / Mangosteens or items that stains - Smoking is prohibited by law in SAVV except at the designated smoking areas or outside and away from the building. Consumption of durian is not allowed in SAVV Guest rooms. Non-compliance will incur a room-recovery fee of MYR500 to restore guest rooms or affected areas to smoke-free and smell-free conditions. Consumption of mangosteens or items that stains the room linens may incur replacement or specialist cleaning charges.

Payments - By providing credit/ debit card information, the Registered Guest represent and warrants that (i) he/she is legally authorized to use the credit/ debit card provided; (ii) SAVV is authorized to bill the Registered Guest in full for all charges incurred or charged to Guests' account for all products and services purchased and any damage or loss caused during the Guests' stay (including, without limitation, damage to SAVV's property). The Registered Guest expressly and irrevocably authorizes SAVV to charge the Registered Guest's credit/ debit card, or deposits provided at the time of check-in, for all charges the Registered Guest and their invitees may incur, including any damage or loss caused by the Registered Guest or their invitees to SAVV during your stay. The Registered Guest is personally liable for the full payment of all charges, which may include any applicable service charges, duties, taxes, or tariffs. SAVV will charge the Registered Guest's credit/debit card for any costs associated with repairs or replacement for damage discovered after check-out.

Valuables - Guests should ensure that all valuables are always stored securely in the In-room safe and not left unattended. SAVV's liabilities for valuables are governed by Section 4, Innkeepers Act 1952. 

Parking - All vehicles must be registered at check-in. Guests' use of the parking lot within the premises of SAVV is entirely at their own risk.

Keycards - Lost or non-return of keycards will incur a charge of MYR50.00 per keycard. Replacement of keycards will require the Guests to verify their identity with a valid ID.

Lost & Found Policy - SAVV assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. Please contact us immediately, and we will try to locate your lost item.

Found Items - Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries will be discarded. Other items are collected, recorded, and kept for collection for up to 30 days. SAVV will make a reasonable effort to notify the Guest of the items.

Unclaimed Items / Uncontactable guests - Items will be disposed of accordingly or donated to local organizations.

Return costs - Guests can arrange for the return of any lost and found items via PosLaju or Courier Service, at the Guests' own cost plus MYR20.00 handling fee.

Damage In-Room - Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing, equipment, towels, artwork, etc., will be charged at 120% of the new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or wilful, is the responsibility of the Registered Guest for each particular room.

Damage/Tampering with Fire Detection / Fire-Fighting Equipment - SAVV reserves the right to take appropriate action or evict Guests/Visitors found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout SAVV.  Any costs incurred by SAVV arising from these actions will be charged to the Guests/Visitors.

Damage discovered after check-out - Should the damages be discovered after check-out SAVV reserves the right to charge the Registered Guests credit or debit card for any damage incurred to the room or SAVV's property during their stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, and any other incidental costs.

Non-compliance - with any of the above will constitute a breach of the Terms and Conditions. SAVV reserves the right to take all necessary action in such an event, requiring Guests to leave SAVV and waive all rights to any compensation. Nothing contained in the Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver by SAVV or compromise SAVV's rights to seek compensation or to rely on and enforce all statutory limitations, defenses, and powers available to it under local laws and regulation.

Privacy Policy - SAVV respects Guests' privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of the personal data provided to us or collected when using SAVV's Website. By providing the data requested, Guests accept and consent to receive direct marketing and promotional materials that SAVV thinks may interest Guests. SAVV will choose any appropriate form of communications including but not limited to emails, SMS messages, push notifications, telephone calls, posts, or social media. Guests may opt out of receiving further marketing communications by unsubscribing via email at enquiry@savvhotel.com.

SAVV will make its best effort to ensure that all information on its website is accurate. SAVV makes no warranty, expressed or implied, and does not accept any liability for any errors and omissions, and reserves the right to change the information at any time and without notice.
